J&K Bank insurance revenue up 30%

Jammu, November 30: Jammu and Kashmir Bank achieved 30% growth in insurance revenue, officials revealed.
The information was given by the President and Managing Director of J&K Bank (CMD), RK Chhibber, during an event, “Leader’s Talk”, organized to recognize the Bank Champions of the Jammu Division Zones, in the life insurance segment here in Jammu.
The CMD expressed satisfaction with the achievement of 30% growth in the Bank’s insurance revenues, and called on Bank staff at operational levels to exert strenuous efforts to ensure that the benefits of the insurance reach all sections of society, including the most marginalized.
“In order to increase our bottom line, we need to redouble our efforts to increase non-interest revenue streams. And life insurance is one of the most under-explored areas, especially in the current times of COVID,” the CMD said.
“We need to ensure immediate resolution of deceased claims while maintaining focus on existing customers in addition to educating relevant personnel in this regard in our operating geographies,” he added.
Chhibber said good products and services, better technology and customer focus are the key elements of the success mantra for all business organizations. “I am pleased to see our energetic and experienced staff, whose dedication and diligence have helped them find their place among the top performers in the Bank’s life insurance segment,” said CMD.
MD Pnb MetLife Ashish Srivastava. The Bank’s Executive Chairman, Sunil Gupta, President (Insurance) Narjay Gupta, Area Heads, Heads of Business Units from Jammu region and other leaders were also present on the occasion.
